I have to say it’s been a great week. Shell International selected us to provide a custom control room console solution for new plant operations in Texas. Weeks ago, Shell engaged me to do an analysis of their planned console floor plan to come up with a similar solution that met specific budgetary requirements. The project involved six large U-shaped consoles with rotating binder storage between each console. Additionally, each control room console would have adjustable monitor arms and tower CPU storage in the lower bays. My solution fit the footprint, had all the features they were looking for, met highest quality standards, and as they say “the price was right”. The control room console design and selection process went rather quickly allowing for an earlier delivery date than expected. I hope to have photos to share after the installation is complete.
The Shell International contract isn’t our first energy control room project. We have recently designed and manufactured control room consoles for Western Refining in New Mexico, Ormat energy in Nevada, Plains All-American Pipeline in Texas, AES Wind in California, and Aramco in Saudi Arabia to name a few.
The oil and gas industry continues to grow and now with emerging energy sources, we are seeing requirements for the most advanced control room console designs and video wall technology. Have a control room console and/or video wall project? Let’s talk about it. I can provide advice and ideas leading to a modern and productive work environment that you can be proud of.
